Mission Statement.
Our mission is to strategically reduce and eliminate childhood lead poisoning in the city by providing
lead testing and increasing awareness via public education, targeted community outreach, and
preventive action seminars, workshops, & literature to reduce exposure.

We seek to promote state and local lead poisoning prevention strategies to detect and help reduce environmental lead hazards. Our goal is to advocate for services for children affected by lead exposure

Core Values
We are committed to targeting our services to Landlord’s, homeowners and Renters in underserved communities in
and around Philadelphia at very affordable prices. In 2014, Philadelphia’s lead exposure rate was higher
than any of its surrounding suburban counties and twice the national average. Lead exposure is most
prevalent in the most impoverished neighborhoods in the area with the oldest housing stock. More than
10 neighborhoods in North Philadelphia alone have lead risk scores exceed 8> with at least 95% of its
homes built before 1978.

There are about 551,000 housing units in Philadelphia that may have lead
due to them being built prior to 1978.
Our goal is to mirror some of the forward-thinking initiatives promoted by Mayor Kenney, Philadelphia Department of Public Health and Licenses & Inspections. With Preventive Education and Public Education Campaigns, our effective marketing plans seek to inform thousands.
